The Program

The Women’s Workforce Montana program is a series of in-person intensives focused on skilled trades employability to support women and gender minorities in gaining the confidence and qualifications needed to secure a career in construction & clean energy.

  • Gain hand & power tool expertise, materials basics, construction math, industry vocabulary, principals of building science and clean energy fundamentals

  • Earn an OSHA 10 certification and a Job Site Ready certificate

  • Physical ergonomics and injury prevention training tailored to women in construction

  • Get informed about: navigating gender bias in a male-dominated industry, employees rights, interview skills, portfolio and resume building

  • Ask us about child care and transportation stipends, scholarships, and more

  • Meet and foster relationships with local trades women, industry partners and maintain access to WWM resources after graduation

The expected time commitment is approximately 100 hours over 2 months. WWM requires attendance Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays every other week, and one 2-3 hour event on Thursday evenings on the weeks between.


WWM’s wrap around services and resources are available to all participants to help them fill in the gaps.
